Review - Wasteland 19

Since Casanova is on hiatus and Exterminators got canceled, Wasteland is the only title in my top three I can rely on right now.

The last few issues have been just okay for me. I think the Sandeaters are interesting characters and the constant threat of Sandeater attack adds to the richness of the story, but I don’t think they needed a whole three book stretch dedicated to them and their near impossible to decipher tongue.

Back to business with episode 19. Back to business indeed.

There are develoments in this issue that effectively push the overall story forward, answering some burning questions while a few new ones pop up. Much like a certain maddeningly addictive TV show.

Marcus can see! Could he are the whole time? That’s what I want to know! And is that chick really his sister? Looked like a long lost lover to me. Or maybe that’s just my sordid mind.

What exactly are Marcus and Mary and Michael and possibly Abi? Where do these strange powers they posses come from?

Will they get to Areeyasi?

And just what will Marcus and now Mary do with all those Sunners at their doorstep?

Check out Wasteland 20 for answers.

Or more questions?
